Dear Jean-Louis,
On saturday the 9th our group did 2 experiments which
we would like to share:
- Lifter flight in a closed box
:
To clear the question for us wether a lifter would fly
in a closed box or not, we used an (empty and dry) aquarium(of
glas) of the dimensions:
H375mm x L775mm x B330mm.
The top of the aquarium was closed with a piece of wood with 2
small holes for the cables.
The results were that the lifter 1 flys as allways if not placed
to close to the walls of the aquarium.
We made a short video about this flying tests(320 x 240pixel with
a MC3 from Kodak. We recommend this cheap mini-camcorder from
Kodak, its really great !!)
I dropped the frame-rate to 3frames/s so one can see the up-going of the lifter nicely. Means slowed down to 1/7 of the original velocity.
The Aquarium-flight may interest you, because it shows clearly that the Lifter gets up even in a closed box(of glas in this case).
