SMOT: Ball Energy and Thrust

The purpose of this experiment is to check if the energy gained by the steal ball always increases along its path, from 64 mm ahead of the entrance of the magnetic ramps to the drop area. This has been now confirmed and this demonstrates definitely that there is NO slingshoot effect ( like a spring compression ) at the entrance of the SMOT. All datas have been calculated with the QuickField software and also checked experimentaly with a Teslameter (SAS 231W Hall probe).
From the starting point ( at 64 mm ahead of the entrance ), the steel ball has its own kinetic energy which increases during its run. The drop of the ball must occur when the energy reaches the maximum energy point (see the pictures above).
