Yeah, that's my fault, I took out erwin's crypto code
coz it was implicated in the heisenbug that freezes
'funz at some arbitrary point. However, the heisen
keeps bugging, so I guess that means crypto code is
blameless.
So, the whole thing is unencrypted at the moment - lose
your machine and it gets embarressing real quick. My
strategy for solving this is as follows:
* convert all stores over to append stores as I have
now written for a new data type, which also solves
the serialization bug (more like architectural
suicide than just a mere bug).
* write a network store, which allows us to do network
backups. That gives us a real good reason to do the
crypto, and it also solves the backups problem.
That's the plan, at least, all we need is willing fingers
to do the hacking. Having written the append/encodable
store, I'll spend all my efforts in vaccinating the
serializable nonsense out of the code, so that we can
get back to changing data structures and avoiding the
end of the financial world as we know it. Then, once
having done that, I'll hunt around for somebody to do the
network stuff (which is a broad ranging project that
brings in SOX, some protocol, 'nix, servers, storage,
and crypto).

PS: I just heard that the entire current issue of DigiGold
is about to be snapped up in real payments, so an expansion
is in the winds.
