I have also conducted some measurements about the mechanical power generated by the PFT-Motor series.

Mechanical output measurement: Experimental setup

Experimental setup : I have used a simple DC motor as a driver and linked on the main PFT Motor shaft . The speed has been measured with an optical tachometer and the electrical power input with two DC multimeters.

TEST RESULTS : The DC motor used is a Graupner Speed400, 6V (model 3321). The electrical power input required for the DC motor has been plotted ( with the orange dotted line ) by measuring the voltage and current at the input with the HV power supply switched OFF. The others curves plotted show the power required by the HV power spply ( 28kV generator ) for obtaining the same speed without the DC motor.
